and welcome to my
small slice of the internet.

My name is Christopher Ellis and I enjoy creating things.
This site shows some of what I do.

I've been creating websites for nearly a decade, first as a hobby and later as a profession. After many years of freelance client work, I took a couple years to focus on my own projects. I work extensively with PHP, APIs, and WordPress. More recently, I am getting more into Python and C. For the past year, I have been working with the amazing team at Jaymie Scotto & Associates creating custom website solutions for the telecommunications industry. At the root, I just enjoy and have a passion for creating things and solving problems.

I have many interests, including an appreciation and love for the arts, music, science, technology, and most of all, my wife Caitlin and dog Franklin. For twelve years, I was a professional ballet dancer and was fortunate to have danced many roles as a member of a few professional companies with excellent dancers and great friends. After retiring from my performing career, I enrolled at The Ohio State University, where I am currently earning a degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Computer Systems.

I find the universe we live in fascinating and believe human ingenuity is boundless. I hope to soon be heavily involved with humanitarian efforts, specifically clean water initiatives, to help make our world a better place.

Here are a couple of my projects that I am actively involved with and working on.

BalletHub is an online education, news, event, classifieds, and discussion resource for the art of ballet. Visitors can enjoy many educational tutorials and tips for ballet technique, create and join discussions in the forums, and see nearby or search for events such as auditions and performances.
